Spirit Airlines is set to revolutionize budget travel with a suite of new, high-value options that enhance the travel experience while keeping costs low. As part of a major transformation, Spirit is introducing premium selections aimed at providing a friendlier and more comfortable journey. These new travel choices will be available for booking starting August 16, with the revamped Guest experience officially launching on August 27, 2024.
Spirit Airlines Introduces Exceptional Value with New Travel Options
In a landmark move for budget travel, Spirit Airlines is offering Guests the option to enjoy a premium experience at an unbeatable price. This new premium offering complements a range of travel options designed to meet the diverse needs of all travelers. The four new travel tiers—Go Big, Go Comfy, Go Savvy, and Go—will all include the flexibility of no change or cancellation fees.
Go Big delivers the ultimate value in the sky, featuring a Big Front Seat®, complimentary snacks and drinks (including alcoholic beverages), one carry-on bag, one checked bag, priority check-in and boarding, and access to the fastest Wi-Fi among U.S.-based airlines. The Big Front Seat offers enhanced comfort with wider seats, extra legroom, more seat cushioning, and no middle seat. Go Big will be available for booking starting August 16, with full services launching on August 27.
Go Comfy offers increased comfort and space with a guaranteed blocked middle seat, one carry-on bag, one checked bag, priority boarding, and complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Go Comfy will also be available for booking starting August 16 and can be experienced from August 27.
Go Savvy provides travelers with the option of either one carry-on bag or one checked bag and standard seat selection during booking. This option will be available for both booking and travel beginning August 16.
Go is the most affordable option, offering the flexibility to purchase add-ons such as checked bags, standard seat selection, Wi-Fi, and snacks and beverages. Go will be available for booking and travel from August 16.
Priority Check-InStarting August 27, Spirit will introduce a priority check-in experience for Guests choosing Go Big, Free Spirit® Gold members, and Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard holders at over 20 airports. These airports include Atlanta (ATL), Cancun (CUN), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Houston (IAH), Las Vegas (LAS), Los Angeles (LAX), Newark (EWR), New York-LaGuardia (LGA), and Orlando (MCO). This dedicated lane will offer expedited check-in access, allowing Guests to quickly reach the first available ticket counter agent.
Enhanced Boarding ExperienceFrom August 27, Spirit will implement a new boarding process aimed at reducing boarding times and improving operational efficiency. The process will consist of five groups, with priority boarding available for Guests opting for Go Big and Go Comfy, Free Spirit Gold and Silver members, Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard holders, and active-duty U.S. service members and their families.
